We are thrilled to share that T3 Architects has been featured in CNN Style for our work on HippoFarm, an eco-tourism resort near Ho Chi Minh City.

The article, “HippoFarm: Designing Resilient Spaces in Vietnam”, spotlights our frugal, sustainable design approach:

• 🌾 Rice husk insulation (combined with diatomaceous earth) to provide natural thermal comfort, repel pests, and resist humidity.

• 🐎 Recycled steel horse boxes to raise the dormitory above flood levels, ensuring resilience against Vietnam’s increasing storms and floods.

• 🌿 Integration of local materials (bricks, sand, lime, bamboo) and traditional Vietnamese principles (wide roof overhangs, cross-ventilation) to create a low-carbon, climate-adaptive solution.
